It's non-specific so I don't even know where to look for it.

I've never lost the equalizer. How many tabs do you have under "Sound Effect Manager" from the control panel
post #8 of 14
i have 8 tabs; sound effects, speaker config, speaker test, spdif in, spdif out, hrtf demo, microphone, general. on the sound effects tab there is a button for eq. but when i press it nothing happens. with the factory drivers there is a tab for eq. maybe the new drivers think my mobo cant support eq and dissables it during install. there should be a way to enable it.......

i know dumb question but i have that same type of sound on my desktop i assume those drivers work for the integrated sound on my motherboard?

Don't have answer but someone with your same laptop may be able to answer. I don't recall what laptop you have.

Install the "AV Rack" application. I lost the EQ in the sound manager program too but the AV Rack Equalizer offers the same effect. It applies the settings to all sound, not just the sounds played through the AV Rack player.

I can't download the drivers. It always says that the server cannot be contacted... I haven't tried non stop, but at least 6 times now to no avail... They'll probably be obsolete when I do get them finally
post #13 of 14
I can never download their drivers either, but my friend could...try from a different connection or get your friend to do it.

For anyone who is interested: I got the drivers yesterday. They caused BF1942 to have sound intermittendly - that is, sometimes when I'd fire it would make a firing sound, sometimes not. So I switched back to 3.55.
