i8600 and 3dmark2003 changing scores

Hello,
I've got a i8600
1024Mb 333mhz
80gb 5400rpm
atiradeon9600 128Mb
all dell's latest drivers
latest bios

my 3dmark2003 score is always oscillating between 2750 and 2771. Is this right?
I've noticed it would increase if I run it a few times......

and above all how the hell are people getting 2790+ with same specs?

cheers
Luca

That's the normal score of the dell 8600 with ati 9600 pro turbo.
The +/- 50 points can depend on which driver you use.

ok but I'm using the same drivers all the time. I simply run the test a few times sequencially and the score moves between 2750 and 2772....

I guess it's normal then!

cheers

Yes it's normal, but what I meant was that you can get higher score with some drivers, and lower with others.
Old dell drivers give lower score in 3dmark than the new omega drivers if you know what I mean.

man this horizontal rain problem is like destroying my videocard. i bench like 900's now when i used to bench like 2800 before this problem. If you start getting sub 1000 then you have a problem. 2700 i agree is a decent score for the i8600. Thank God for dell's customer support and hopefully the new card i get tomorrow fixes this problem.
