Let me help you out and put that in BIG, BOLD
print so people
see it.PROBLEM SOLVED !!! On models that have the new touch multimedia keys there is an OPTION in the BIOS to disable the feedback sounds on models (9-2006 and onward) with the capacitive touch controls.
The "fix" if you don't see the option, is to go to www.hp.com
and type in your model number and read the bios notes to see if a BIOS update will add that feature to your machine if it's not appearing already.
The BIOS update adds an option to the Setup menu (F10) to Enable or Disable key click sounds. More that likely these affects ALL the new models (9-2006 and onward) with the "new" capacitive touch controls as used on the "new" HP dv2000, dv6000, dv9000 series machines... and the v3000? V6000 Compaq'sAffected models confirmed to either HAVE the bios update already installed that enables the sounds to be toggled off, OR can be enabled to do so via a BIOS update:HP

Models reported to not have the feature:
DV6013 (European version) (posted by reeves) BIOS (f.18) has no option to disable sound. Pressing F10 runs the "Save and quit" dialog.
Note, in differant regions there's going to differances. European versions seem to not have options of models slated for sale in the USA.
