Acer Aspire 3624: Password Locked

Thread Starter
I have a Acer Aspire 3624WXMi laptop.

When starting up the system it goes past the splash screen then issues the following error:

WARNING! Password locked: Failed disk 0

it then boots to next screen and stops with: Operating system not found

I have tried everything to get the system to access the hard drive to no avail.
Password settings have been changed, disabled, re-enabled & set back up again through the BIOS. The same thing happens each time.

I can boot to a cd. There is no floppy drive. I do not have a Recovery Disk.

Is there a way to unlock the password so I can access the drive?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
