latitude d420 question?

Bottom righthand corner (near the fan and heatsink) do you hear a slight sound coming from it. If you put your ear next to the fan you will hear it. It sounds like squeaking or something. How do you get rid of that?

I had the same problem. But it just disappeared magically... I don't know why. it's so wired.

My 700m had the same problem. by playing with the usb power management, people can get rid of that. but it didn't work on my d420.

you can try that on yours though.

Okay cool, yeah it disappeared once the fan kicked in. Yes very strange indeed.

could you post your cpu temp later?

dell is sending me a replacement, after I told them my cpu stays around 60C.
