Aspire 1642ZWLMI Temp

Thread Starter
I have a Aspire 1642ZWLMI. Pentium M 1.73 CPU

When I play Guild Wars, obviously running at 100% CPU usage, I get a CPU temp from MobileMeter of 70 - 72c ( I have seen 73 and 74, but its not often). Sitting idle typing this (with the CPU set to full) I get 55c. If I turn it down to Low speed its 49 - 54c. (At 55 the fan kicks on and cools it back down to 49)

I was wondering if my CPU is running too hot or is it doing about what it should? I dont want to damage my CPU.

I have looked for average temps in the past with not much luck. I did find a printout from Intel once saying the Max temp for this CPU is 100c, but thats really been it.

Just for the sake of saying it, its not Overclocked and I have a lapdesk I use it on so no vents are blocked.

Thanks in advanced for any info

You could try this: http://www.notebookforums.com/thread70943.html

I have a Pentium M 1.73 GHz as well, and it is running between 45 ° and ~ 58 °.
