Stupid screen question

Here is a stupid, simple question (to say the least). I don't have access to another XP system. When you boot the pc in xp, it initially pulls up the blue screen indicating it is booting and loading up xp. On the upper left corner of the blue box, it is shaded as though it were screen ilumination. This is not in the corner of the screen, which is black, but the corner of the blue portion setting. I only see this currently on the boot and wanted to make certain this is part of xp and not a problem soon to be with the screen.

That is probably it. it's kinda like the leakage on the bottom but in the top left corner and only on bootup. This lcd does have leakage on the bottom, which I wouldn't have notice if I didn't read it on here because it only is apparent on bootup and on black. It also has a dead sub-pixel, when I can only see on the dead-pixel test website.

Thanks to whoever posted that for the thumb in the eye.

If I ever notice the left top corner on anything but bootup, I will get a new screen, untill then, this screen is unbelievable.

It seemed like an XP issue but is doesn't hurt to ask.

Thanks

just another hint to make you totally unworried:

change the color quality to 16 bits: >Display Properties>Setting>Color Quality, click ok

then press "winkey"+L so you will get the same screen as when you log in, now there is the light, but sort off composed by a compound of circles on top of each other. [ask if you dont understand, not english speaker here ]
