So i got my cyberpower computer after 2 weeks. I was very happy. I unpacked it and found everything was in order. The case is amazing. So i hook it up to logitech g15 keyboard, my g7 mouse my 6 speaker surround sound setup, and my 19" Samsung lcd. It boots up, windows xp is loading and....The setup is not fully complete. Redo setup. Whats the problem?
when you get an OEM system typicaly they dont finish it all (so you can fill in "what this computer is used for" "what is your name") so yeah finish the set up

and dang it take some pics :P

just boot the machine up, let it go through what it needs to, and then itll restart a few times due to updates and such, then it should boot up

I boot it up but it doesnt go throught any updates. Everytime it shows my motherboard, tries to boot into xp then i get the message that the setup isnt complete.
Wow, I hope mine does not do that. I am currently waiting on my cyberpower computer to get here.Congrats on your buy, I hope you get it up and running. Well latter.
It should make it to the welcome screen on the initial bootup. You might have to fill in the language, computer name, workgroup, time zone etc.. but it should definitely make it further than yours did. I think you have a problem and I'd complain to the manufacturer about their lack of QC. That's unsat

Yeah it only makes it as far as half loading xp. Shows motherboard screen, xp loading and then it says redo setup. I'm going to try reinstalling xp.

I would still complain and tell them you'd like a discount off the price, since you had to do part of the work you paid them to do. Worst case scenario is you get nothing, but they'll probably at least knock off 10% or offer you a free upgrade of some sort.
I would let everyone know if they tell you to get lost though..

dman don't be a prick like that, having to reinstall an OS is really nothing. XP being the craptastic product that it is, sometimes things go wrong. Granted CP should have ran tests before shipping out the rig, but whatever. The OP paid for a license to legally own a copy of XP, not really anything more that, could have just as easily gotten a NO-OS config.

if i was CP and somebody like that called me I'd let them send me the system back so i can reinstall the os....but that person will have to pay the shipping.

you have the cd, you have working hardware...get to it!

I have a question. I have a xp disk that i installed on a computer a while back. Can i still use it again? The disk cyberpower gave me was xp, but they didnt give me the windows 25 digit code you need......
there should be a sticker on the bottom of the laptop or a paper somewhere in the box you got the lappy in. if there is no number AT ALL, then that is a problem and you need to call up CP and request a cd-key

you do know there are options fom higher end OEM makers for "Test this before shipping" did you even THINK to ask the OP if he had that option?

also, you DIDNT question the OP like "hey did you pick the option where they test it for 20 bucks?" "hey did you ask them to load the OS on there for ya?"

no you ASSUMED they did, it wasnt broken, defective? how is a non OS loaded on a computer thats shipped to you defective?

Key words of the OP highlighted for the troll...

Several links to assist in troll self identification:

Talk about assumptions, did you ever consider that dman just happen to swing by cyberpowerpc.com and get the information himself?

From www.cyberpowerpc.com:

Systems are extensively tested reliability and performance for 72 hours.

-and-

Each system goes under a 250 point quality check.

-and-

Operating Systems are optimized for high performance.

I'd say Cyberpower goofed up some...

Oh, and Soulsaver, I'm basically calling you out here. You go around this forum, giving bad advice, incorrect information, flame-bait, troll, and if anyone here has a prickish attitude, it's you.

You're behavior is very similiar to BooBoos.
