Case noise transfer to IEM Headphones

I've heard that with osme laptops, if you have very sensative IEMs (in ear monitors) it will pick up the noise from inside the case. I was wondering if anyone had any problem with their dell. I have an e1705 and just purchased an er6i and i'm worried that it will pick up my laptop noises. If so i guess i'll have to upgrade to a non onboard sound card.

I had the er6i and I could not pick up on the noises but on my much more sensitive E3, E4c I can indeed pick up on sounds like fan noises and such but very faintly and not really enough to bother me.

thank you very much... that definetly relievs my fear. I just purchased er6i's ^__^.
How do you like them machina? Does the onboard sound card give it justice and what would be the best upgrade in sound as far as a pcmia card goes?

I really didnt enjoy my pair. The wire itself was pretty flimsy and I felt that I could easily rip them apart within months. The bass and max volume was overall weaker than even my cheaper pair of E2's. The only plus I could see was that they were inexpensive and much lighter compared to the E2c. Overall if you can return it I would reccomend the E3c which is a nice balance of size, performance, price and definetly worth it. All shure headphones are also backed by 2 Year warranty where as the Er6i was not.
