Package data transmitted to FedEx

I would have thought that I would have some more updates than that, because I know they aren't shipping my lappy from Orlando to Po-Dunk California without stopping in Sac or SF

Either FedEx has changed or Alienware uses the truly ultra low cheapest of the cheap shipping option.

I have ordered about one metric ass load of stuff in the past year or so for different clients, all shipped through FedEx, and updates were done daily. Never have I see it take 5 days to get an update. Never have I seen it take that long to get from Florida to Oregon, either. Strange...

Now I see there is a delivery exception and it won't be delivered until tomorrow. To say the least I am extremely dissapointed with the way my m9700 was shipped. Next time I order from AW I will spend the extra <Insert Absurd Amount of Money Here> to get it shipped second day.

I've been having the same problem with my M9700 that was supposedly picked up from the alienware warehouse on 0ct. 19. It then leaves Miami and gets to Orlando at the Fedex wharehouse at around midnight. Then leaves later that day Oct. 20 from Orlando and then falls off the face of the earth. It is now late evening of the 24th without a single update.

When AW finally gave me the magnificent e-mail saying my computer had been shipped I then ordered a single gig ram chip from Newegg. They sent it thru UPS and I've been given daily updates of it's delivery both arriving at staging warehouses and thus leaving. I'll have that tomorrow for sure as it is located no more than 50 miles from my house according to the UPS tracking.

I must say that Fedex ground delivery is a little on the sketchy side. Not that Alienware charges a wee bit too much for delivery in the first place or anything but they really do need to somehow keep their customers in "the know" on their shipping status.

I just hope I get mine tomorrow because that was the expected time of delivery by both AW and Fedex.

Well I got off the phone with FedEx, my packages have been delayed a day (that's the 26th) But "expect them the 27th" *sigh* I got class from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday... I might be able to leave early between a class or something and nab the lappy and shove it in my room and not get to see it all day heh but if I get my homework done I might get to play with it on the weekend, that's a stretch though, stupid Linear Algebra, stupid Calculus, etc etc *sigh*

Oops probably should have revisted this thread for an update, but I did receive my lappy on time so I think they said that to save their ass just incase it wouldn't make it.

Woot its came a day early! said the 9th but its here on the 8th =D I bet the delay in updates is simple its all on truck and your package basicly never gets off till its where in needs to be thus no scanning updates etc. my AW crossed 5 states on the truck ride and i guess i was just the last stop XD and then the updates flooded in as it pass through the depo and made the finaly trip
