So the coupon is time sensitive. Expires on 10/26. I won't be making the purchase till next month. I guess I will check back on the day or around the day of my purchase. Unless someone has one that is open-ended?

Just check with http://www.cheapstingybargains.com/cheapster/dell/ when you are ready to buy.

Dell has 20% off discounts every other week. They last one week, then they're gone for a week. Just make sure to buy it during one of those weeks that the discount is available.

You can go to the link that wacky posted, but Dell even lists it on their website and automatically applies it... It's not like they're that secretive.

yeah unfortunately the days of the supersecret $750 off coupons seem to be gone for good. Maybe we'll be surprised, but I'd doubt it.

Yeah - I think that's what I was looking for. I price the e1705 for about 1200 - 1400. And that coupon would have come in reaaally handy. But thanks I will check the week of. And thanks "Wacky" for the url to that great site.

Man! I just want to play City of Hero's sooo bad and write documents at the same time..

Okay, 1 0f 3 things are happenings

1) Your fibbing on the price. And we are honorable people here. So I know thats not happening

2) I frucked up and added the over-night shipping and handling cost into the 1800

3) The website displays different prices according to region. i.e. California prices online might be different than in Texas or Boston or Idaho.

So I am apt to subscribe to #2 and 3 (sorry dude wasn't trying to judge your character with point #1..lol)

Either way..We have awesome machines - right!
Installed COH last night.. Can't get enough. Will instal COV this weekend. Who knows what's next. Not that I need it but I am going to get a external drive. But I do need a 3 in 1 printer.

He said that he bought it on Oct 29 (the good week of EPP deal), which he must have gone through the EPP 30% off coupon + $50 off stackable coupon & another 12% off for his 3 year warranty to get the price he got instead of just using a 20% off coupon....

The sad thing is I was looking at a Dell during that week and I had the Inspiron E1705 priced at $1200 but didn't act on it.
Its all good in the hood. I am so frucking happy with what I got.The battery life on this is crazy.

The most important thing is that you're happy with what you get for the amount that you pay. I mean even though the price you pay is a bit high & everyone wants to save as much money as possible but most of us don't buy laptops for fun (as in buy one laptop every week or one every month).... I'm glad to hear that you're happy with yours as it is a very good system. Congrats as well.
