EC/KBC damaged

This morning when I turned on my portege, the screen showed EC/KBC damaged! Please contact the serviceman. Serviceman, please put the maintenance disk in drive!

I have taken the CMOS battery cable off from the mainboard and let it cool down for a few hours but it was just a futile attempt so far since I thought by taking the CMOS cable off it should reset the capacitor's to a normal bios state

Anyone?
