My new Acer 5602 is experiencing two very annoying issues:
1. The sound frequently never loads. When I turn it on, I get to the desktop, and I realize there's no sound volume icon, and after checking hardware it says that there is no sound card.
2. VERY BAD PROBLEM- Many times during normal use, it freezes for ten seconds- if music is playing, it gets stuck on a note, and no controls work. After the ten seconds, everything is normal (though sometimes a moment after that the sound gets garbled again for a second). I've heard that this might be due to a background process that takes up CPU processing, but I've restored the laptop to factory conditions and IT STILL OCCURS. Could it be due to the fact that I'm using a wireless mouse?
I don't think it's an inherent hardware issue, because the laptop works fine in safe mode.
