m1210, 9 cell battery -> 3 hours?

hello, i want to know is there a way to minimize the usage of m1210? my laptop just barely able reach to 3 hrs, i heard alot of ppl say their laptop can go 4+. here how i just barely to 3 hrs. i turned on the powerimizer, lcd 4/8, wifi on, bluetooth off, quickcam off,and listen to music through head phone, dvd rw disable

my spec is 2.16ghz c2d
2gb ram
160gb
ge 7400
draft n
dvd rw

plz reply if u know any thing that can be turn off or a way to make the battery last longer. thankyou.

try this patch

doesn't fix all the problems, but maybe it will work in your case

Also, download "notebook hardware control" and run the NHC monitor to see how much power is used when u are running on battery.

i get about 3 1/2 hours off of my 6 cell battery. that is with wifi and bluetooth on, not using the dvd drive tho. good luck in finding the problem

LMAO, on the Microsoft update page, they show using the Mozilla Firefox download manager during the process. Specifically, the Windows Genuine Advantage page.

Are they telling us something?

That page changes based on the browser you are using. When WGA first came out - it didn't work with firefox. Then they made it so you could manually do it for a while. Recently - they added instructions like that page you see there.
