Ok, so I just did the update with the AW tech support guy. I almost had a small stroke in the process.
Here is some FYI incase this happens to any of you. I printed off the script from the AW site, burned the disc, called AW and we ran through the set up. Everything worked fine until the "American Megatrends/press F2" screen. After I pressed F2, I just got a flashing cursor, and nothing else. The tech guy was awesome he walked me through trying 60 different things and nothing was working. Finally I noted that my HDD light wasn't even coming on (I though I had fried the bios or something
)
Long story short - if you have raid 0 or 1 - the new bios reverts the system back to Raid-disabled.
If you get the flashing cursor - Here's what you can do (with the help of the AW guy):
1. Reboot
2. Press the "del" key to enter bios setup
3. Go to advanced
4. Go to Nvida raid controller
5. Change the setting to enabled
6. Change the Primary and secondary to enabled
7. Press F10 to save changes and exit
8. Everything should boot up fine after that.
Of course, I haven't played any Bf yet, which is why I downloaded the update. I will let y'all know if I notice any difference.
