I made sure I had a boot disk that would boot straight into nvflash before I did mine with the original bios on it, tested it by running nvflash -? which brought up the help screen. Anyway depending what version of nvflash you are using really matters if you are trying to boot from a floppy, I found that anything higher than 5.13 required to much base memory. I used the same version that was on the boot image that one of the chaps posted on this forum. You will need to have as much base memory as possible, I used himem, used the UMB command and also loaded emm386.exe using the 'ram' switch. you don't need any cd/dvd drivers or mouse or anything else. The command line for nvflash is: nvflash -4 -5 -6 -y 'your filename'.ROM (original bios) no quotes!! put this in your autoexec.bat file (last line to execute the program) [My config.sys file reads] switches=/f break=off dos=high,umb files=30 buffers=20 lastdrive=z device=himem.sys /testmemff /v device=emm386.exe ram shell=\\command.com /e:1024 /p can't get rid of that smiley it should be a 'colon then off /v' Of course you will need 'himem.sys' and 'emm386.exe' on your floppy. [autoexec.bat file reads] @echo off nvflash -4 -5 -6 -y @@@@@.ROM you can always try this on another maching by just having the '-?' switch so that it should execute and run the help utility. Hope this helps.

Code:
[My config.sys file reads]

switches=/f
break=off
dos=high,umb
files=30
buffers=20
lastdrive=z
device=himem.sys /testmem:off /v
device=emm386.exe ram
shell=\\command.com /e:1024 /p

can't get rid of that smiley it should be a 'colon then off /v'
Of course you will need 'himem.sys' and 'emm386.exe' on your floppy.

[autoexec.bat file reads]

@echo off
nvflash -4 -5 -6 -y @@@@@.ROM
Code tags do that for you.

lol cool cool...boot up with auto cd in the drive...keep smashing f12 for like 20 sec just to make sure youre at the boot menu (pressing it extra times does nothing)...then you have to select the boot option...cd/dvd is 3rd one down on my list so thats two presses of the down arrow...Wait a minute and it should flash the bios you have in the autoexec...If it doesnt flash back then try different numbers of down arrow key presses (ranging from none to 6 or so)...Be sure that you have the -4 -5 -6 force flash switches in the autoexec...

Here is what I've done to repair my graphics card:

1. Downloaded & burned the 7900.iso file from this thread.
2. Loaded up the boot CD with the GeForce Go 7900 GS.
3. Typed "nvflash -4 -5 -6 ORIGINAL.rom" and when it asked if I wanted to overwrite it, I then switched the graphics card to my GeForce Go 7900 GTX (risky, I know).
4. Pressed the "y" button and heard a beep.

That somehow didn't work at all, I still have a blank screen. Just to let you guys know that I flashed the 7950 GTX on my 7900 GTX graphics card. Does anyone else have any other solutions? Thanks for the others for the help.

It maybe that the cd was not booted in max mem...If you have an original copy of your gtx rom try that first...if not I can email you a copy of the 7950 that I have...Im pretty sure its stock...
Use the usb method if you have a flash drive...
