Upgrading Ram on Sony T250

im gonna upgrade the ram in my t250

im sure other sony owners feel pissed at the prices charged by sony for sony branded accessories and upgrades

im from the uk but bought my laptop more than a year ago in the usa so my warranty is up anyways

sony charge 174 gbp for the 512 mb stick

here are the details for the official one

VGPMM512I.AE

Storage capacity: 512 MB
PC2700 DDR SDRAM
Micro-DIMM
DDR333

this is the ram im considering buying instead

http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/65727

much better at 46 pounds

CRUCIAL 512MB DDR PC2700 200-PIN SODIMM 333MHz 64MX64 NON-ECC for notebooks

could someone confirm that this is the correct part to order - is this compatibile with my laptop

sounds silly but i got concerned when i noticed the pic on the sony site doesnt have a gap in the pins and the 200 pin stick does have a small gap

any help would be greatly appreciated

thanks,
kevin

sony brand is something else - someone must take the 1st step and try it, it is hard to find that someone, u just don't want to fry ur expensive laptop :-)

i recommend that u drop the support at edgetechcorp a mail, they can confirm or not confirm for u
