Mac newb needs help purchasing

Ok...with changes in the last several months I've mostly settled into the groove of taking on a second school technology wise. I'm starting to think about things I need to help me do my job more efficiently and things I need experience with. Macs are at the top of that list. I now have a couple mac labs and a couple varius mac users that warrants me getting some current experience and the tools I need to be able to support them.

I have the ok to get myself a macbook pro. I'm looking at going "all out" on a 15" 2.33ghz with 2gb ram. I lug around a backpack full of tools and what not. I don't want the 17 I was given one as my first machine with this job and it just doesn't cut it for many of the situations I'm in...way to big.

Anyway I know I want bootcamp so I can run my XP apps yet or at least transition over if they can be used in Mac OS. I have the machine speced out and in my cart but I don't know how to choose the option for bootcamp? Is it something I add seperately from the software area or is it a configuration option somewhere?

Thanks for helping a Mac newb!

bootcamp is really just a little more than a bootloader and a package of apple drivers for XP.... what i am trying to say is that its a program that you gotta install and its not something that you "buy" so get the whatever package you got in your cart... when you get it download and install bc from here http://www.apple.com/macosx/bootcamp/

BootCamp is a selection of Windows drivers for Apple hardware and a GUI interface to a nondestructive partitioning tool included in OS X for Intel.

There is no bootloader. Windows can install on a Mac without the use of Bootcamp thanks to the BIOS compatibility module Apple included in the firmware update.

If you want drivers and if you want to partition your disk without deleting your data it is.

Interesting, I'm pretty sure at first I'll want to run both full OS's and see what happens as far as my learning curve and what apps can be run from the mac side that I need. Its pretty much been approved but I'm not sure if its been submitted for order.

I'm excited in a strange way...
