What does the blinking battery light mean? I get it sometimes with my computer is in hibernate? The last time when I came back the battery was at 97% charged.
I use Notebook Hardware Manager and it says the battery is charging but for some reason it doesn't get above 97%. The computer is about 2 weeks old. Also, I never shut down the computer. I just put it into hibernate. Could this be causeing the problem?
restart your computer and hold F2 to get into BIOS. Then select and run battery calibration. this should adjust the percentage you see to the actual percentage.
*warning: in some cases this process increases battery wear level*
also, calibration charges your battery to full and then discharges it until your computer shuts off, so it will take a while

mine says the same thing, stays on 98% and it's a 9 cell brand new battery. I've heard that Li-Ion battery needs 4~5 times of fully charge/discharge to reach 100% capacity, I'll do more test with it. Does your battery charging light on when it's in hibernate mode?
I recently plugged it in and charged it up and continued to use the notebook on AC power. The next day i boot up and my battery is 98% charged and charging (apparently) but NHC shows no power entering my battery.
Is it likely there is somthing wrong with the cable for the transformer/rectifier?
Since I first reported this I have been watching my battery % and when it stops charging. I have noticed that if you have the computer unplugged for about 1.5 hrs and then plug it back in the computer will charge to 98 or 100% but if its only unplugged for a few min then it will not charge above about 95%. I dont know if this is just a bug with NHC or if its a problem with the computer.
