Well I was right in the middle of configuring my e1505 that I was planning on ordering today, and I had the WXGA+ LCD Panel selected. While in my cart I went back to change something and received an error message. I then go back into my cart but to find it now empty, so i went back to configure another one again. Now i noticed something was different, the WXGA+ is not there anymore. Now the only choices are:
-WXGA
-WXGA w/ TrueLife
-WSXGA+ w/ TrueLife
I called the Dell rep. and the rep. did not even know there was a WXGA+. She said she just searched the whole system and there was nothing about it for the e1505. I then asked her to speak with a upper-level tech. and she comes back saying that they are currently not offering the WXGA+ panel anymore.
I was furious because they updated their system in the middle of the afternoon. And that even on the sameday, they would not allow me to get the LCD panel that I wanted. I told them that I'm planning on ordering two Dell notebooks; both with the same configuration. They said that I should upgrade to the WSXGA+, but i told them that I will only purchase if they can either let me order the two e1505 with the WXGA+ panels or upgrade both notebooks with the WSXGA+ panels but only charge me the same price as the WXGA+ that was offered.
I am now very disappointed in Dell. The rep. was even trying to make the deal sound good by saying she got me the 30% off when i was the one that had to give her the code. And then she goes about giving compliments about the notebooks capabilities and how great the Merom is when i even told her I build gaming desktops for a hobby.
