7900GS + GTXBios = 7900GSX - Page 52

I flashed the bios but i can't seem to alter the settings. Are the hardmodded roms still available?
Just flash the stock (locked) version of whatever rom you tried. This should let you overclock with whatever driver you're using.

I thought the unlocked version was supposed to let you do that?

Its complicated.

Was there a GTX version 1 rom anywhere?
NO EXTERNAL LINKS

Refer to my thread there for the naming conventions of the roms.

I'm still getting redirected to http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/error/leech.

here

Had to remove the attachment. You can definitely go to LV2G and get it for yourself though.

Oh yeah, I can't link externally. If you go to my old sig and then to that page you can get it that way. Of course, since I have already attached it here you don't have to do that.

Has anyone done this on an m9700 with sli 7900s?

How would I go about flashing both cards?
nvflash --list should show both cards
then you use nvflash -i=0 new.rom and nvflash -i=1 new.rom to flash each card separately. Note that you should NOT use the roms here as they are for dell cards and it would likely kill your alienware card. You are either going to have to search for an Alienware rom modding community or just modify your own rom.
I would add, that considering the prices for replacement 79xx cards and the high failure rate, I would suggest leaving the stock ROMS on these cards, unless spending $ 400.00+ USD for a replacment card is an option for you.

Can someone point me to where I might find the joker 7900gs iso. I overclocked my card to 450/1200 years ago and want to put it back to the original rom and I seem to have lost my disk somewhere...

Thanks in advance.

Do option Z. Sets your BIOS back to normal AND lets you change the clocks via the normal Nvidia utility!

You're welcome in advance.
so that will undo what I did with the joker boot disk? and I need to check my card to see what revision it is so to be sure I use the right rom? Cause on the chart I see differnt roms for rev1 and Rev0

Thanks in advance
Yes. Follow the instructions and it will reset your cards bios to the original factory settings with only a minor tweak: you can mess with the clocks through software instead of needing the mess with roms.

I have the JLMOD (juan lu) iso so if people are still looking for it, I get try to get it uploaded somewhere for you.

just PM me
PLS some could possibly reupload the iso which was on the first page of this topic? i have almost read through the 70 page ad all links are broken THX

EDIT: I actually find it on another site, but i would like to ask whether it works on a normal graphic card? I mean , a VGA in a normal PC, not in a laptop or it would murder my card?:S

I thought I remember reading something about a bios size flashing wrong in a certain situation. Basically I'm wanting to flash my 7900gs (obviously) in my m1710, would there be any special instructions?

Also I'm trying to get my hands on the updated iso if anyone has it.

~Bump~

The situation I am thinking of involves the size limit in DOS when flashing a certain rom size it would crap out and ruin your bios flash.
