Been trying some different clockrates, here the 3DMark05 results. All with Nvidia`s 84.63 driver:
7357 @ 450/1150 1.0v, 71c max. (no artifacts in ATI Tool)
--> Currently using these settings for all purposes, all games running smoothly at highest settings (FarCry, Prey, GTR2)
8378 @ 575/1150 1.24v, 82c max. (no artifacts in ATI Tool))
8665 @ 600/775 1.24v, 82c max. (some little artifacts in ATI Tool, roughly 3 - 5 dots)
8792 @ 600/800 1.24v, 82c max. (starting with 20-30 dots, ending up with 300 dots :-)
Yet, even with the 600/800 setting, I couldn`t notoce any single visible artifact in 3DMark or games. I`m not sure what to think about this ATI-Tool for artifact scanning. Even when I ask the clockrates, the Nvidia Paneldetected as the optimal settings, damn ATI-Tool will start peeping. It`s different although when I change the ATI-Settings to "old scanning method". Haven`t managed to get a single dot with this setting so far.
Having I8KFanGui running will give me about 80 points less .
Enjoy your weekend.
