7900GS + GTXBios = 7900GSX - Page 26

Yes, I set the bios to 100/100 so it is actually 100/200.

cool also whats the lowest voltage u guys think id run the 600/800?
I'm having a few problems with the screen stuttering/glitching during loading screens in certain games. I'm currently running on 84.63 nvidia drivers, @ 600/800 1.24v. Also, when I highlight certain video files on windows with my cursor, the screen flickers or glitches slightly. Does this have anything to do with the driver version, or is it a result of the OC/Overvolt?

When making voltage changes you just have to go with what seems reasonable with you and what runs stable for you...
Anyone have any idea why when i run at 1.24v at 600/700 everything is stable, but if i up the voltage to 1.32, while retaining the same clocks, its very unstable?

There we go, these are the same issues I am having too. It is weird....

whackamac and BrotherKung, i believe your issue is from the GPU being clocked to the very edge of stability. I noticed this in a few games when i was trying to find the max my card could take. I backed the clocks back down a bit and it went away for the most part, but still happens in COH a tiny bit.

i had this problem too when i tried enabling the third voltage. so i flashed it back to the old one on the yolda iso and the problem when away. plus i ran atitools with the 3 voltage rom and ATItools ran into some error during the test but it keep reseting once it found a few error so if u left it there running you probably won't notice the log saying there is an error. if you're having a thrid voltage added try flashing with the rom in the yolda iso see if the problem is still there

You really shouldn't be taking the voltages above the 1.24 mark. especially when your ocing the card right at its limit. good luck tih your OCing!

I have a dual pipe 7900 GTX. The 7950GTX runs at 1.32, and is the same core as the 7900GTX.
EDIT: never mind lol...
The nv42 core 6800go's had the same core as the 6800u but I'd be surprised if most of them could run at the stock ultra voltage...maybe nvidia selected the cream of the crop for the 7950?
Definitely possible, but then i would expect at least SOME 7900 GS to not be able to run at 1.24v. 1 to 1.24v is a large jump vs the 1.24 to 1.32v jump. I was unaware that increasing voltage would decrease stability, i thought it only increased stability at the sacrafice of cooling.
THe 6800go and 7900gs seem to be ridiculously underclocked from my knowledge whereas the other cards have much less tolerance for overclocking...Run 1.25 V to make sure some other funky issue isnt occurring
post #515 of 1054
Well, I changed the volts to 1 for 2d and set it at 550/700 and am enjoying 8600 3d05 vs 6400 before the flash. No temp increases either. Happy joy! Single pipe GS.

Im experiencing the same "smoothing" problem as yoga.. its quite annoying when trying to play splinter cell DA

when is the new iso coming out? with roms?
Hope its coming soon And what drivers are you using? I tested the extreme-g, but the games lagged then, with the original from nvidia, no lag!
