Heey all,
My laptop has been workin fine for a while but all of a sudden a few days ago, I went to log on after the screensaver, and the keyboard just didn't work. I had to hold down the power button to shut it down. then turned it back on. Long story short, I got an error message about a missing system file and had to reinstall xp on the c partition. Luckily, however, I had all my data on a separate partition, which still seems to be intact. But I cannot view it while in windows (it's labeled as hidden).
Now I do have a CD-- Hiren's Boot CD, with a bunch of DOS utilities, and I have been lookign for an answer with that. But I may have just messed it up worse, cuz I think I converted the D drive from a primary to logical partition. It still can't be viewed in windows. Can anyone help? I have windows working ok but all my music movies and files are on the D drive and I'm trying to access them.
does anyone know how I can change this drive to be accessible from windows? Cuz before the crash I had no problem accessing it.
