acer aspire 5670 s-video problems

I plugged my laptop's s-video to my TV's s-video and nothing happens. I tried putting the TV on channel 3, switching the video1, video2, ant1, ant2, and combinations of both, nothing happens.

I tried using the laptop function keys, still nothing happens. How do I get my laptop's video to display on my TV?

Some function keys do not work at all. FN-F1 displays no help screen, and F2 F3 F4 F5 do nothing that I'm aware of. F5 is suppose to activate the s video but does not.

Also, my monitor used to show the volume level when using the + - keys on the left, but now no green bar displays. I reinstalled the ATI driver but this has had no effect. What drivers control the function keys? Maybe some need to be reinstalled? help!!!

In Catalyst, I had to check the setting that said Force Video - that would allow the toggle in Fn+F5 to work correctly

Don't know about Aspire 5670, but e.g. Aspire 3630 has the Acer eManager utility for doing that.
