HI.. im new here and i'd like to see if i can find some help here..
I have a 6 month old Acer Aspire 5002 WLMi, im using a same age Linksys wireless 54g router, i was using DSL from bellsouth at 1.5mb download speed, that was the same speed at the desktop and in the wireless connected laptop all the time. Now I upgraded to comcast cable and i have 8mb download. I receive 8mb on the desktop but have come to find that the laptop only receives 4mb or less. I tried using another aspire 3000 series, and that one can connect at 8mb speed. I already tried upgrading the router firm-ware, but its hard to find a easy acer support.... ANY SUGGESTIONS?????
NOTE: I used the 3000 series to prove that the router would do 8mb. Also, the signal is constantly excellent throughout my home at all locations, the only that changes is the speed. Suggestions?
