M1710 and Dell D/Dock video / sound issues

Ok, I realize there are a million threads on here about the M1710 and D/Dock, but for some reason, I have a problem with video on my D/Dock.

Every time I start my system up, I see the BIOS show up (M1710 with D/Dock, connected to Dell 2405 FPW) on the 2405, then the Windows XP splash screen.

Then, as soon as Windows goes to actually load the Desktop, suddenly my 2405 blanks out, and I have no video.

I can pop open the laptop display and force it to use the 2405 as the Primary display, but this happens each and every time I do it.

Any ideas what is going on?

It worked perfectly fine the first couple of times I did it, and now suddenly it has crapped out on me.

I've tried multiple different drivers, using both Dell's, Laptop Video2Go, etc.

(Oh, and one thing about the Dell drivers, is that they don't seem to support the 7950 GTX; it shows up as "No compatible hardware found". Ironic that Dell has published a driver without support for their own product.

Undock your laptop and try this out.

Right Click My Computer then select properties
Click the Hardware Tab
Click "Hardware Profiles."
Delete your Docked profile.

That should get Windows to reconfigure the behavior of the system when it's docked.
