Visit the website of a company called electrovaya. They have real nice battery pads... the same that voodoo uses I believe.

Did you use the "Search" button? I simply typed in the words "External Batteries" , clicked on "Go" and I got 88 hits. I tried "Universal Batteries" and got 11 hits.

In case you are not aware, the search "button" is a pull down on the top menu bar of the forums (ie: look up an inch above the top of this thread)

Sarcasm is not needed and whats wrong with me asking a question. its like you can take the time to tell me to search but you cant take the time to just answer the question. Thanks

Actually I wasn't being sarcastic. I'd been using the forums for a few days before I noticed the search gadget.
I'd answer your question if I knew the answer. Since I've never been that interested in external batteries, I can't.

Well, jsanfilippo4, as the old adage goes, you can give a fish to a hungry man and it will cure his hunger for that day, or you can teach him to fish and cure his hunger for all time. In this case, you want answers, I could tell you the answer but the next time you have a question, you would likely do as you did this time, just ask, rather than learn to how to find answers for yourself. That would save you time, save me and the rest of us time, and what the heck, you just might find doing simple research is actually fun and rewarding.

Sarcasm is needed, because its a good way to get you off your virtual butt and try to learn something. You said you tried to search, but unless you are completely inept, you couldn't have and not come up with something. I simply clicked on SEARCH, typed in the words, clicked on GO and I got lots of answers. Yes, it would take some effort to go through those 88 hits to find what you want, there's even a chance that what you want may not be there. That's life. It's full of risks. Beyond the information in these forums, there is the whole internet out there, the most powerful information system ever conceived. Its so easy to learn its ridiculous. Yet there's so many people too lazy to even try something that powerful and that easy.

This is the major failure of schools today, they have forgotten how to teach people how to learn. That's the most important lesson of all. Well, maybe not, wanting to learn and wanting to do it yourself are slightly more important, but its a matter of goals and the means to attain them.

Very well written and thoughout post Marquis. jsanfilippo4, I think Marquis really has a point with what he wrote.

But there is also no need to be sarcastic or rude about it.

Besides, why have a forum like this to ask questions? Virtually everything has already been discussed, right? So why not just say, "Do a search, idiot!" for everyone who has questions?

Or better yet, just say, "Go to google and leave me alone?"

I don't know why one has to be rude and arrogant just because someone who isn't at your technical level or internet expertise asks what might appear to be a simple question.

Just MHO.

Instead of helping a person with a question, I get labeled as an ignorant person, I feel that I should be able to ask a question since this is a forum and there are people asking questions everyday.

I would think that people would have better things to do with there time I guess this forum is your life and you have the time to rip on people for an innocent question.

I really wish that douche bags didnt exist in this world. Unfortunately they do.

Here is the search results for the External batteries that Marquis did.

Here is the search for universal batteries that he did.

Now I helped you, or tried to, as soon as I saw your initial post. Please refrain from calling me pathetic, after trying to be helpful by sending you off to electrovaya.
