Heat Sink -- Please help

PCTORQUE or other experts, please help me to understand this.

I'm very close to buy 8887, one question though. I'm thinking to buy 2.4G CPU for now and when the price comes down, I can upgrade to 3.06G w/ HT. My question is whether the two models share the same heat sink for CPU. The reason I ask is when you configure 8887, if you choose 2.4G model, the only options for CPU is 2.4G and 2.53G. So I wonder if that means the heat sink used here is not suitable for 3.06G CPU.

Any comment is highly appreciated.

As far as I know they use the same heatsink and fans, but I haven't torn down a 2.4 and a 3.06 side by side to confirm this. Sager doesn't recommend end users swapping their CPUs but of course it's physically easy to do. The motherboard/bios from what I know will auto detect the CPU and run it. Another member Dennis proved this when he upgraded his 8886 to a 3.06GHZ CPU from the 2.8 if I remember right.

The -c, -s and -v are just package deals Sager gives special pricing on and the resellers pass along in different forms.
