Gentoo Install Question

All right, tried another re-install of Gentoo. This is the error message I am recieving upon booting up.

VFS: Cannot open root device "sda3" or unknown-block(0,0)
Please append a correct "root=" boot option
Kernel Panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0)

Any ideas?

You don't have grub configured correctly. In order to suggest the correct configuration we need to know how you've configured grub, and your disk partition configuration. Post your grub.conf contents, and your fstab contents.
