80gb 7200rpm available on the 8790! FALSE ALARM

Hi everyone! I've been enjoying reading the forums for some time and am a soon to be future owner of a 5680 or an 8790 based on their quality, price, and pctorque's obviously well-deserved reputation. Just thought I'd mention something that no one else has seemed to notice (or at least post). On Sager's website, the 8790 has an option for an 80gb 7200rpm drive! I'd assume it's also available for us through PCTorque on the 8790 or maybe even the 5680, though I don't see the option in the configuration screens. Hopefully it's just an oversight. Please fill us in soon Adam!

Are you blind? its a 5400 not 7200.
And its normal its the only model available on the laptop market at 7200.
Toshiba made it.

Go to www.sagernotebooks.com and try to configure your own system. I just looked again and it clearly shows an 80gb 7200rpm option available in the 8790 system, else I would not have pointed it out. Unless it's a typo on Sager's site and they meant to put 5400. P.S. The "Are you blind?" comment was not appreciated. I suggest you go look before making brash comments as well as brush up on your manners.

Hmm, I see only the 60GB as being 7200 RPM. I tried all three configurations of the 8790 too.

You guys are making me doubt my own sanity. I opened another browser screen to check sagernotebook's website yet again and when I click on the link to "configure your own system" and look at the options under "Primary Hard Drive" at the very bottom of the choices is clearly stated "80.0GB (7200rpm) Ultra DMA Hard Disk". Here's the link to the screen I'm staring at right now: http://www.sagernotebook.com/pages/n...oductType=8790

Yeah, there is no 80 gb 7200 drive yet but comments like maxbelgium's really aren't necessary. Chill out.

I 100% agree... sometimes i wonder if some people on this forum are 12 year olds on mommys computer.

He is actually correct. If you fully customize your system it does indicate that an 80GB 7200 rpm drive is available. I believe that this is incorrect.

Thanks Spaxspore. Glad to know someone else now sees it, too. From everyone's comments I was really beginning to think I was having visual hallucinations or something!

Thanks... I think... Now we just have to determine if what I see on Sager's site is actually correct!
