any distro is a e17 distro really. you can always install a base debian and instead of traditional gnome spank on e17,arch linux which also lets you put your stuff together to order lets ya slap on e17 instead of other desktops, and gentoo.....list goes on.

All right, major problem with the Elive LiveCD. I need to re-install the distro, however I'm getting this error message when I try to boot the LiveCD

/bin/bash : can't access tty; job control turned off

Tried google, couldn't find much. . . Any ideas? I tried different media, and i know the disc's are fine.

I have the same problem with Elive. It looks like it cannot use an ATAPI CDROM. How can we fix this?

Well ubuntu is good, and if you like KDE then kubuntu is for you. But i had good expirences with SUSE enterprise desktop.

I have never heard of Elive, but i am looking in a dual-boot in Ulteo and SUSE. What are peoples thoughts on ulteo?
