Looking for Clevo D900T (Sager 9860) old mainboard

Hi everybody.

I'm looking for a cheap (also used, the important thing is that it is in full working condition) Clevo D900T (or Sager 9860 or equivalent of Cyber-System, IdeaProgress, Eurocom, Alienware, etc...) first revision mainboard.
I'm looking for the old release because mine is over and a friend of mine wants to buy my D900T, but I don't need to change it with the new release mainboard, as I installed 3 Gb of ram and P4 670 and that's enough for my friend. So we hope to find one very cheap (maybe that of someone who changed it with the new one and kept it). Here in Italy, official reseller of Clevo asked me 800 US$ to change it (with a new second release one). We wish to pay max US$ 200. (more shipping).
Thank you very much!

Federico

p.s. I'm from italy, so much better if it is in Europe!

I wouldn't buy a used 9860 motherboard for anything more than $75. They are problem prone with about a year and a half life expectancy.

I wouldnt say problem prone. I've been happily gaming away on my 9860 for exactly 2 years now.

I guess you're refering to the numerous reports of bad motherboards etc etc.
Well if you think about it if a laptop is running completely fine whats the point of starting a thread saying "ok mine is going great"?

I think if the laptop has been taken care of the motherboard will be fine for a while.

Well if you're willing to pay $200+shipping, then you can probably find an upgrade seller since I believe Sager only refunds $100 off the upgrade price in return for your old equipment. It would only be a matter of time... In fact I'd be willing to sell you mine for that, except it's the second motherboard for my 9860, and it's abouty a year and half old, and it's been exhibiting random minor problems for almost a year now...

Haha... great post. This reminds me of the scene in Airplane when they are describing the symptoms of the fish dinner and only after each description does the listening pilot start exhibiting the particular symptom.

My 9860 is now 1 year and 7 months old. Should I be concerned? What are the symptoms?...

They told me there is 1 year warranty on mobo. I hope not to have any other problems, as for 2 years my old one has worked fine.
