acer aspire 9410 - this is almost a bait and switch

i bought an acer aspire 9410 which features a bluetooth button on the laptop for turning on and off the bluetooth adapter. the manual explains how this feature works as well. well, after purchasing a bluetooth mouse i find out i don't really have bluetooth at all. isn't this deceiving on acer's part? there's even a bluetooth driver available for download from their web site. the acer tech said a bluetooth adapter doesn't ship with it.
1) i have 2 questions about this laptop. now that i find out there is no bluetooth, is there any bluetooth card i can purchase that will work with the bluetooth button. on the bottom of the laptop i notice there is a blank slot(mini pci?), maybe that's where it can go.

2) the sound quality sounds extremely choppy and stuttered at times. i phone their tech support and they said try reinstalling the sound driver. didn't help at all. i noticed in another post a user mentioned they changed their drive to ntfs that also had bad sound quality. i have done the same. i wonder if that's where the problem lies.

any other acer specific forums out there? i've only found a couple of posts for my laptop.

Hi testtest123
Yes it is decieving on Acers part but from their point of view they have made most of their laptops 'bluetooth capable' where-by they do everything apart from ship with the adapter. Inbuilt bluetooth is a nice addon but you will only find a select few laptops from any manufacturer with it built in.
For your second question, there are things called a "bluetooth Dongle" this is basically a USB stick device that plugs into any USB port, it will come with its own drivers but most of the time Windows will install it for you and it is very easy to install
Your best place to locate the bluetooth dongle is either Ebay or your local computer store and they usually retail for around £10

Type Acer Notebook into google for a forum dedicated to Acer

thanks for the reply. i hate those dongles though. other countries have the bluetooth built in by the looks of the specs on the international sites. there's gotta be just another mini pci card or addon to the wireless card. i could be wrong though. if any one knows. i'd appreciate the part numbers to get it hooked up.

Your best bet for part numbers and so forth is to actually contact Acer, they will also be able to tell you local retailers that stock the item and even send it to you via post (dont know if they offer that service)
