I just got my new inspiron 9400
go7900gs
2gig 667
core 2 duo 2 ghz
100gig 7200 rpm hd
wxga screen

I can start BF2 and load single player games but every time I try to log onto a server it flickers and kicks me back to the desk top?

I know others are playing bf2 on this same rig. How did you get it to work?

thanks in advance

I had this issue before after a clean install and patching . Unfortunately, the game files were updated but something about PB didn't update, so I had to do it manually. Once I updated and rebooted, I was able to play. Check this page and let us know if this helps: http://www.punkbuster.com/index.php?page=pbsetup.php If not, let us know the results and we can try a few different things. HTH, Pixel

Well it worked I had to do a clean bf2 install. I think tht it was the new EA downloader that screwed things up. Anyway thanks for the advice.
