Well I just got my cx7 couple of days ago. I installed WMC and the drivers. I am pleased with the overall build quality. I ran 3dmark06 basic edition and got a 3d mark score of 5422, sm2.0 2234 and a cpu score of 1937. It has the T7600 and 7950 gtx with 2 gb of RAM. I don't have any games on it yet, but soon will. No dead pixels (I did buy the guarentee). I'm not too familiar with all the benchmarking stuff, so I can't comment on the numbers I noted above.

I have this memory installed in my Inspiron 14R. 6gb (one 2gb & one 4gb). Great performance! I highly recommend Kingston.

I'm getting 5700 in 3DMark 06 with the m9700 (2 x 512MB 7900GS cards)...the CX7 is a nice machine - hard to see how you can go wrong with the 7950 GTX and core 2 duo! I went back and forth between the m9700 and CX7 (but C2D wasn't yet available), and only ended up with the m9700 because I've had good luck with Alienware...I do like the specs on the CX7.

Well I ordered mine on the night of 10/19/06, and they just shipped it out today at 11/13/06. They claimed to have upgraded me to overnight shipping for free because of the delay.
So if in fact that I do get my laptop tomorrow, it'll be just short of one month.
But, when I contacted them, they said that the delay was because everybody wanted the 7950gtx. And they got it on backorder really fast. I sometimes wonder if companies will use 'backorder' as just an excuse. Besides the extended wait time that I had, it better blow my socks off...
You'll be seeing a complete review with benchies and tons of pictures come this weekend when I have time to put it together....
*sits by the door waiting for ups*
