I installed the latest mobility cat 6.10's on my Sager 8790 and they are working perfectly. You have to basically go to the link I provided and read down to BMC401's post on how to get them to work. Basically ATI's drivers do not have a placeholder for the native resolution of the LCD in our Sager Widescreens, so you have to add it.
All my games and flight sims play awesome now and much faster than before.

I even had to use refresh force to add in an 800x600x85hz resolution as well as change it in the video.con file for the game Battlefield 2142, since it would initially never even start the game and just crash to a windows error stating something about the "renddx9.dll" file. To get BF2142 to work, edit the video.con file in your "My Documents" profile area, and change the default resolution from 800x600x60hz to 800x600x85hz to start up on. Also run refresh force if you have the new CAT drivers and change the 800x600 to 85hz if it is not available.
Then when you start BF2142, just change the resolution to whatever you want. Im running mine at 1400x050 since 1680x1050 is not one of the choices.

I fixed my poblems by downclocking with ATItools and I can run Battlefield 2 nicely.
