Well first of all, nice to be a member here also it is my 21st birthday but that s a tad off topic.

I just got this:

Inspiron E1505, Intel Core 2 Duo processor T7200 (4MB/2.00GHz/667MHz)
15.4 Inch TrueLife Wide-screenWXGA, for Inspiron 6400/E1505
1GB, DDR2, 533MHz 2 Dimm for Inspiron 6400/E1505
256MB ATI MOBILITY RADEON X1400 HyperMemory, for Inspiron 6400/E1505
80GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive for Inspiron 6400/E1505

Total: $1,073.00 w/ TAX

Will that run CSS or Fear on some decent setting? Think I got it for a good price? I have a main gaming rig however when I do travel I love to take my home center with me whether that be music or games.

Second question, is the x1400 the BEST video that I could get for my laptop? I have heard of people installing video cards into their laptops.

Third, when I get it how should go about reinstalling so I don't have all that reinstalled crap on it dell puts on their PCs? Does their computer by default come with a clean Windows MCE disk?
Thanks for your replies

Deal was OK - I picked up an E1505 with:

2.13
X1400
160gb HD
WSXGA LCD
DVD burner
1 gig DDR2
Carbon Quicksnap cover
Bluetooth

$1156 shipped - with 30% off coupon from last week

I'm not sure on the video card - will let you know when I get mine.
Yes - X1400 is the best - There are no other better options at this time.
Recently, the last Dell laptop I bought ( last week ) came with the re-install CD's. You have two choices to get rid of all the Dell crap - uninstall via add/remove in control panel of just re-install MCE edition.

You can also use PCDecrapifier to get rid of all the dell junk. If you reformat, be careful not to get rid of the hidden partition that holds media center, there is a guide on this site somewhere tells how to keep it. Pooldoc
