GAH the agony! Update:
After believing that the lappy would be here in two days via "2-Day Express" I checked Fedex website to confirm so I could be here to receive. They showed a Nov22 delivery! Called AW, put on hold 5 times.
AW: Your sales rep told you 2Day Xpress to Hawaii which is true, but forgot to tell you that it goes by truck to Cali first which will take 3-5 biz days.
Me: Uh, ok. That's not what I was told. I was told 7 days to build, 2 days to ship. I ordered and paid in full on the 2nd. It's been 12 days already. Now your informing me it's going to be another 8 days. I'm confused.
Me: I feel deceived. Is there some compensation, say perhaps a backpack or messenger bag for the foulup?
(Put on hold 4 times, transfered to another department.)
AW: No. But we'll send you another t-shirt if you want.
Ok thanks anyway.
I then clarified the return policy and found that I have 30 days for a full refund with no restock fee (because I paid on AW credit). I don't plan on canceling, but I wanted to make sure I understood the policy should something not work properly or whatever.
Not worth too much of a rant, but I really wish their sales guys would be a little more accurate about things they say. False claims can lead to unrealistic expectations.
