Nomad no more (8890 bricked?)

My 8890 (aka Nomad) was working like a champ. One day while in a cafe, I went to connect to a wifi network and just as it went to connect, the entire system shutdown. Power cycling it I can hear the HD, and sometimes is boots but after a few minutes it just shuts down.

I reset everything, cleaned it all up. I never run on batteries. I removed the battey, no change. It seems like the unit is ok, but for some reason it shuts down shortly after boot or won't even boot.

I'm hoping its just the external brick...what can I check where do I go from here?

My system does not want to reboot while my usb memory stick is in. Remove all USB devices and try again.

Hi, i had that happen once, and so i just ordered a new power brick. That solved it all together. Who knows, however, there might be something else going on. Was there a significant draw in power when it shut down the first time?
