Media Direct 3.0

I was looking over an email I got from Dell this morning that talked about the new media direct 3.0 that's now available installed on new laptops. Anyone know if there's a way for current owners (I've got a e1705 with 2.0 currently) to get 3.0 on their laptops??

you can request the CD and upgrade your MD (if requires some work and resizing your HD partitions)

it also requires a total reinstall also it installs dell diags on a 50 meg partition
