Any hope of installing the (FINAL) One Care Live Evaluation version & seeing whether the scan is better now, and whether the two way firewall works well? thx.

morality is nothing but a set of values that the majority of people believe to be right, in most cases it is not the right view and in this case its not a matter of morally right or wrong but legally right or wrong

On my M70, Vista (clean install) causes constant fan usage while logged in...anyone else with this issue?

My M90 in the signature runs a corporate Vista Ultimate. No fans running to report.

However, my Quadro is overclocked and the latest 3DMark 2006 1.1.0 produces artifacts in the topo right quadrant of the screen while the one running on multi-booted Windows XP runs fine. Anyone has experiences anything similar.

Thanks

It's a driver issue, anything less than 97.19 caused me problems, the stock Vista drivers don't do so well with the top end cards; it ran the 7800GTX in my 9300 fine...

MSFT has done well I think

I've been on RC2 5744 for a while now but I've had RTM for a few weeks and just installed it last night along with Office 2007.

So far, RC2 seems very close to RTM. Final seems a little faster with a few more wallpaper etc... Office on the other hand is very impressive and I really like the new look of it (at least Word and Outlook).

Drivers have not been an issue for me with RC2 and so far the same with RTM and this is on a 4 year old Dell so you should have no issues I think.

The only problem I seem to have (same issue carried over from Beta 2 and RC2) is waking up from Sleep mode intermittently I would lose Sound completely (a reboot fixes that - until the next time the PC goes into Sleep mode). Interestingly I don't have this issue in Hibernate mode so I've decided to use that instead of Sleep. I guess I'll be saving a little more power with hibernate anyway; better for the environment.

ATC7 hit the nail on the head. So far, am impressed with Vista as well as Office 2007.
My Strobe XP100 scanner & Logitech Notebook Pro (black) webcam have absolutely no driver support, but that's gross negligence on the hardware vendors' parts.
