Hi

well i have 3 days to decide which new laptop to buy, so i will need some help to decide
i am a Dane but im living i china so i am completly un-updated on the world of laptops:-/

here goes:
i need a STRONG mahine to use instead of my stationary machine (a dual everything possible)
when im out of office.
I am a graphic designer so i need a machine to run CS2 package and "ex" macromedia products (flash, dreamweaver ect.) often 6-7 prog. at the same time.

IMPORTANT:
muscle, lots of ram, good color on the screen min. 15"

LESS Important:
"modern functions" i dont use wireless, i dont use funky login features such as finger toch
i game a little but it is not a parameter i weight at all (i game on the x360 anyways)
Batteri life is also not important to me 1 hour is fine.

NOT IMPORTANT AT ALL:
Weight, looks, serious gaming, bluetooth and other "mobility" related tuff, DVD burner (dont need)
Touch pad (dont use). Speaker sound (dont use)

So i want a basc machine with max power and minimum extras.
price level between 2000-3000USD

Hope you can help me out...

Thanks

Since you don't game too much, the graphics card is not very important for you, as long as it is dedicated and produces good picture quality. Nonetheless, I recommend you:
  • HP Compaq nw9440 with a 17" WUXGA screen or
  • HP Compaq nw8440 with a 15.4" WSXGA+ screen.
Both are fully ISV certified workstations. You need a docking station for DVI-out, though. Choose a model with enough memory (1 GB or 2 GB RAM) and a good processor (T7200 or T7400, or such). The computers come with 1 RAM slot free, so that you can easily upgrade the memory on them. The computers have a 3-year standard warranty on them, so they'll gonna last long, and HP will back you up with repairs.
