So I accidentally sliced my LCD with a sword - Page 2

Whoa there endeex, settle down, it will be ok. You dont have to be a child to have an interest in swords or swordplay, for some its a hobby. And im sure jeff was only kidding about the 45 (and jeff, yes you can commit suicide with a sword - Seppuku - a code honored by samurai warriors, that when they were caught by the enemy, or had brought shame, they would perform this ritual suicide by disembowelment.) You seem to be very oppinionated, but you dont have to be ignorant by calling people stupid, people make mistakes. Oh and dont get started on the subject that people are influenced by video games, this is not the place for that subject; if you strongly believe that then post it in the "Off Topic" forum and id be glad to debate that there.

And ricky, sorry to hear about the lcd, some pics would be great, and maybe even the dialog between you and a warranty rep would be amusing. Although it seems...uncommon for that to happen, I think it does fall under Complete Care Warranty, as this was not caused by transportation, an Act of God, fire, or on purpose.

Maybe some of u guys should give up playing games cause I don't think that you can recognize virtual world from real world. And l8er everybody is suprised when somebody got killed because of some stupido influenced by game..

Yes I was jokeing trying to make lite of a sad situation as I don't even like a speck of dust on my display muchless anything more. And don't support gun play nor knife & Sword play either. And yes Gun's , Knives & Swords are hobbies for many who collect or practice or are simply intreaged by them. I for one have a small collection of Guns and also shoot them quite often and that's what I ment by recomending a 45 as with the Colt 45 semi auto they have a double safty feature and almost impossiable to miss fire with or commit sucide with (not that I woud ever want to) So I was mearly makeing lite and cracking a joke stateing that the Colt 45 with double safty is more suited for a acident proned person. Let's keep it real guys it's no big deal and he basicly scratched his display with his sword as I know of many ways a display can be scratched by accident by objects , Pets or wharever. It was a accident and apoligize for those who offended by my sence of humor but then again the tread kinda says it all as the poster even adressed it with a sence humor saying silly me I accidently scratched my LCD playing with my sword.

Exactly. I mean, look back to some of the games we grew up with as kids - like pacman. If games influenced kids, we'd all be sitting in darkened rooms munching pills and listening to repetitive electronic music!

added pictures to the first post. Also, I don't have complete care, just the 1year limited warranty. I've learned my lesson several times though that i should have opted for the complete care package.

As you can see, it's really not that bad, thats why i made a silly topic about it instead of an angry topic

At least it wasn't scratched deep enough to spill the liquid contents from within! lol

Well, if I were you I would go directly to Dell to ask for replacement... carrying the sword with me :P
