m9700 and Vista - Page 2

Probably a week or two after Nvidia releases the drivers. Who knows when that will be (probably ~2 weeks at the earliest). My guess is at least a month before we see SLI drivers from AW (I could be wrong, this is just an educated guess).

There is a huge differnce... I ordered my m9700 with 512 and upgraded to 1gig then 2gig a week later. I noticed a 5 degree drop in my GPU temps going from 512 to 1gig while playing games. I also noticed another 2 degree drop in temps for my gpu with 2gigs... All around my CPU dropped 8 degrees also with the 2gig. It was also very noticable in performace also... much much faster.

Although Windos is running faster I must confess that I'm not getting the same performance on games as I used to when running XP . It's only a matter of us (Vista users) getting better driver for the 7900 GS, which we should see in the next couple of weeks. For the mean time I guess I'll survive.

funny I have that version running my 7600go in vista right now, runs ok, havnt taxed it, and has bad video corruption coming out of blank screen sometimes..... 100.64 is out now too I think, but didnt appear to address my issue just game specific issues.

Drivers can make a huge difference in Vista. I'd recommend grabbing some of the 100.x series from laptopvideo2go.com

I was using a 97.x series from Dell and getting horrible benchmark performance. My 3dmark05 jumped 1200 points just from installing the 100.59(I think) drivers, so apparently Nvidia is having a hard time getting their official drivers up to snuff under Vista.

Has anyone been successful in getting the Airgo wireless card working in Vista? The ones supplied by AW don't seem to be working (setup runs successfully, but the card is still not detected).

wilco try installing the driver in compatability mode to Xp Sp2 it will take longer installing but it should work
