Whats the Best Gaming mouse?

I have a Logitech and it uses a BALL in the middle. it looks like it slips when i make fast movements...

So I'm looking for some help.

Lastly, some people said I should get a corded mouse instead of un-corded. Is there any truth to that?

thanks

You cannot go wrong with Logitech MX518. It's a corded optical gaming mouse with wheel, Forward and Back buttons.

Yes for gaming you are going to want a cord, (more reliable) and I would suggest the Logitech G5 though I also have a MX518 which is nice because of the forward button. (The G5 only has a back button but it is laser)

I have went through many, many different mice. I have found the Logitech MX518 to be the best, full-featured, corded gaming mouse I have found. Not to mention it is also a veteran among mice. Very reliable. I am not too hot on laser yet as it seems to be too surface sensitive for my taste.

Hey Djembe, thanks for banning that moron
And to the original post I would have to say the MX518 is the best gaming mouse today, and you can get it pretty cheap today.
Staples Canada had it on sale the other day for $19.99 .
For that price I got two of them, just to make sure I have a backup when Logitech discontinue it, which I think will be pretty soon.

Highly recommend the MX518. I'm sure the G5 is an awesome mouse, but I'm not buying one until it gets a forward button.

Well, I wound up with a Razor Copperhead...I like it although it has a feel that needs to get used to...

but also like the feel of the MX518, smooth like a sexy womans butt... It's just that the Logitech's felt a little bulky and lazy for gaming...However, they are the best feel for lounging around the net and reclining in your Rocking Chair...

Flame suit on..

another vote for 518 cause it teh secks. So here's a secondary question, what's the best KEYBOARd for gaming.... and (now here's the cruncher) that's wireless. I would really REALLY love a G7 and KB combo but so far nothing

"Best for gaming" and "wireless" are mutually exclusive.

the g5 sucks, its missing a friggin button! where is forward? i use that to dispose of my weapon in bf2, cs, UT and every other fps

the MX518 IMO is the best, it tracks not the best but up there with the good ones, and its only $40 CAD, no other "gaming" mouse is $40 that has 1600DPI res

Logitech G-7, i dont give 2 pennies what you wireless h8ters say, the G-7 is omgwtfpwnbbq sauce and all that

never got lag, so smooth, on the fly dpi! 2 batteries, never slowed down when i had to change batteries, and no cord

Does anybody have a Sidewinder ? How is it ? Mine, for some weird reason doesn't want to do a Quick Turn ... When I assign this option to a certain button and load the game to calibrate - nothing happens.

Ho matter how many times I pressed on a button and how many different games I loaded - it refuses to run !

Any advice ?

Thats what I an using the MX518. I was using the MX510 which I also liked. Before that I was using a Microsoft mouse and that was great until I started using the MX series mice from Logitech. Definitely go with the MX518 or the MX510 the only a slight difference between the two the mx518 uses a higher DPI and has the weights but both are relatively similar and great gaming mice.

Both are cheap in price now and an awesome mouse for gaming which is what they are intended for.

Thus far my Razer Diamondback has treated me really well. Had a MX518, MX1000 and Sidewinder before that. Can't really pick a favorite, although the MX518 was sweet and the Diamondback lets me use it as a flashlight in the dark when my desk lamp burns out...
