HP Pavilion DV6130us or Toshiba Satellite A105?

Hi folks,

Please help me choose between these two laptops. I am looking for a notebook around 1000USD. My friend is in US and have to inform him asap about which model to choose.

The first one is HP Pavilion DV6130us for around 1067$ at CircuitCity.com

And the second one is Toshiba Satellite A105 at the same price at CircuitCity

Presently i am more inclined towards, the HP Pavilion mainly because its HDD speed is better 5400 RPM.

The one thing that i am worried about is will I get a warranty when I get the laptop from US (i am in India). Can't seem to find the information regarding the warranty. I need atleast 1 wear standard service warranty.

Any inputs regarding the performance of these two will be very helpful. I am NOT looking for a gaming/ high graphics applications.

You need to research EXACTLY how the warranty /service is going to work since you're living in India.

You might want to consider one of the "business models" as most mfg's don't support a "consumer grade" model bought in another market... but do expect "business" travelers to travel around the world and need service.

(best you confirm that with the mfg, I'd tell them you're a "traveler")

PS: you need to get a 5,400rpm hd.. .
