Well just ordered my 1st Alienware desktop from Alienware this morning, i've had others i either bought or built up but not a new one direct. Nothing special just a Aurora 3500 but decided i could build it up to what i want over time for a lot less and sell my 1.5 Aurora 7500 to cover the cost. Let's see how long i have to wait LOL

Will be replacing the AMD 64 3500+ with either a AMD 64 X2 4800+ or 5200+
and swapping out the video card for a 8800 series before or shortly after x-mas
and swapping out the stock power supply for a PC Power & Cooling one i have here

Update 11-16

Ugh, damn bosses credit card was denied for some reason so have to phone order it all over when it should have been close to being shipped. Thank god I called Alienware to see why it was in Phase 1 still last night

Had some problems with the credit card we used which delayed everything but bought my upgraded vid card for this already and now for the cpu

Yea basically, I'll use the case,mobo,memory,hard drive and replace the power supply,cpu and video card and add a 18x dvdrw.

In Phase 5 now so hopefully won't be too much longer ( I Hope)

Well if you don't like to wait, just buy retail... but its less customizable. Best Buys carry velocity micros, but I guess the AW shell looks prettier.
