Hello,
I own a VGN-BX540B. It tends to have a few issues:
1. Screen flickers for a milisecond once in a while. I haven't researched it too much but I'm wondering if its related to the power profiles.
2. I get a random single long beep once in a while when the laptop is on.
3. I hear a very quiet buzzing noise from the laptop when it is turned off. Its coming from the center area. The only way to stop the buzzing noise is to take out the battery. If I put the battery back it, it returns right away.
4. Lower right corner gets real hot when hard drive is working. I think this is normal for this model since its a SATA hard drive.
Laptop holds a charge and runs great otherwise. Anyone have any ideas? When I called in to Sony Support, the guy was clueless and kept improvising and changing his diagnosis everytime I said something else. I am thinking to send in my laptop soon to be RMAed but I worry that they'll send me refurb replacement parts in my laptop. How does Sony usually do it? By the way, the laptop is less than a month old!
