dell latitude d420 password

Hi,

Does any one know how to by pass cmos password on dell d420 core duo, thanks

you'll have to contact Dell technical support, you may have to send the system into them where they can remove the password, OR they'll send out a tech with a new motherboard. There's no way to easily disable a Laptop BIOS password. If the service tag of the system is in good standing with Dell (meaning NOT reported as stolen) and you can verify the current owner's information you'll not have a problem getting help from Dell.

It's easy to remove the cmos password.

You simpy need to locate the CMOS EEPROM on the motherboard and short out a couple of pins whilst powering the machine on.

This will erase the CMOS settings and put your laptop in to factory default mode.

I did a guide for the i9300, have a search around. It wasn't hard to figure out, you just need to locate the correct chip on your motherboard.
